Abigail Wragg - 'Cello
Abigail Wragg grew up in Ealing, west London and begun learning the cello aged seven. She received scholarships at age 10 to study at both The Purcell School of Music and Trinity College of Music Junior Department, followed by gaining a Bmus hons degree at Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Stefan Popov.
Abigail has played in recitals and soloist in concertos in many of London's concert halls including The Wigmore Hall, The Purcell Room, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Royal Festival hall, Blackheath Concert Halls and St. John's Smith Square. She has also played abroad including tours to Japan, Cyprus and Greece. She has mainly performed as a recitalist and in chamber groups including The Lyceum Trio and in a trio with Ben Wragg and Phillip Fisher in which they were awarded the Harry Isaacs Prize for chamber music performance.
Masterclass experience includes working with Stefan Popov, Oleg Kogan, members of the Takacs Quartet, The Vellinger Quartet, The Florestan Piano Trio, Tim Steiner, and Mark Knight.
Musical collaborations include working with violinists Leanne Sinha, Ben Wragg and Ruth Palmer; and pianists Rosie Richardson, Philip Fisher, and James Cheung of Agon Trio.
